Mumbai, June 12 -- Samajwadi Party MLA from Bhiwandi East, Rais Shaikh, has written to Maharashtra's Marathi Language Minister Uday Samant, urging that Marathi language training classes be started in Bhiwandi and Byculla.
In his letter, Shaikh suggested that both short-term and long-term courses be offered at affordable fees and that participants be awarded certificates upon successful completion of the training.
MLA Rais Shaikh said that Byculla and Bhiwandi are home to people from diverse communities. "Marathi belongs to everyone.
