Mumbai, Sept. 28 -- The proposed three-day nationwide strike by bank employees has been called off following discussions held between the Indian Banks' Association (IBA) and representatives of bank employees' unions, late on Sunday night.
The strike was scheduled to begin from Monday, with bank employees planning to stay away from work for three days over various demands and pending issues concerning the banking sector and employees.
The decision to withdraw the strike was taken after the IBA and the bank employees' organisations held discussions late at night. Following the talks, the unions decided not to proceed with the proposed agitation.
