Dharamshala, June 12 -- At least 11 schoolchildren and a few passengers were injured after a private bus travelling from Dharamshala to Palampur reportedly lost control and crashed into a tree and the boundary wall near the Deputy Commissioner's Office in Dharamshala's Civil Bazaar on Friday.
According to reports, the accident occurred when the bus driver attempted to overtake another vehicle amid heavy traffic.
As the vehicle went out of control, it struck the wall near the DC Office, causing panic in the busy market area.
The mishap took place shortly after schools closed for the day, and 11 children who were walking home were caught in the accident.
Two to three passengers travelling in the bus also sustained injuries.
