Kolkata, March 14 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Kolkata on Saturday to address a public rally at Brigade Parade Ground, marking the culmination of the BJP's weeklong Paribartan Sankalp Jatra ahead of the West Bengal Assembly elections.

The rally is being seen as a key political event for the BJP as it steps up its campaign to dislodge the ruling Trinamool Congress from power in the state.

Party leaders have projected the Brigade meeting as a show of strength and a final push to energise workers and supporters before the next phase of its election campaign.

According to the scheduled programme, Modi will leave Assam's Silchar at 12.10 pm and land at Kolkata airport at 1.20 pm.
