London, Feb. 25 -- The first teaser for the forthcoming adaptation of "Pride and Prejudice" provided audiences with early glimpses of Emma Corrin as Elizabeth Bennet and Jack Lowden as the enigmatic Mr. Darcy.
Adapted for the screen by "Everything I Know About Love" author Dolly Alderton, the six-episode series - set for release this fall - promises to "faithfully bring Jane Austen's iconic story back to life for audiences that cherish it, whilst inspiring a new generation to fall in love with it for the first time," according to a press release.
A short teaser released by Netflix on Tuesday seems to support this vision, with cinematic shots of Corrin's Elizabeth watching the sunset atop a roof and blushing when she hears the sound of gal...
