Kolkata, March 27 -- Trinamool Congress All India General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee on Friday launched a scathing attack on the BJP government at the centre alleging that it will increase prices of all essential commodities after the election.
"The day elections in Bengal end, the Modi government will raise the price of cooking gas cylinders to Rs 2,000 and petrol-diesel to Rs 200," he said, addressing a public rally at Binpur in West Midnapore. Referring to the ongoing war in the Middle East, he claimed that disruptions in global energy markets have already affected India, leading to shortages of cooking gas and price increases.
