Chandigarh, Aug. 14 -- Twelve Punjab Police personnel have been selected for President's Police Medals this Independence Day, with Inspector Baljit Singh named for the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service and 11 others chosen for the President's Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
The awards recognise police personnel for sustained service and work judged to have been distinguished or deserving of special recognition.
The list includes senior officers as well as personnel from different ranks, reflecting a mix of field and supervisory service within the Punjab Police.
