Shimla, April 27 -- President Droupadi Murmu was accorded a warm welcome on her arrival at Kalyani Helipad at Chharabra near Shimla on Monday, marking the beginning of her five-day visit to Himachal Pradesh.
Governor Kavinder Gupta and Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu received the President and extended greetings on behalf of the people of the state.
Several dignitaries were present on the occasion, including Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh, who has been designated as the Minister-in-Waiting for the visit, and Member of Parliament Suresh Kumar Kashyap.
