New Delhi, May 25 -- President of India Droupadi Murmu on Monday conferred Padma Awards on a distinguished group of personalities from diverse fields, including arts, literature, public affairs, medicine, education, sports, business and social service at a Civil Investiture Ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The Padma Awards, among the country's highest civilian honours, recognise exceptional contributions to society and national development. This year's investiture ceremony honoured recipients of the Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri awards, including several posthumous awardees whose legacies continue to inspire generations.
