Shimla, May 1 -- President Droupadi Murmu on Friday visited the headquarters of the Army Training Command (ARTRAC) in Shimla, where she was briefed on key training initiatives and modernisation efforts of the Indian Army.

The President, who is also the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, was received by state Governor Kavinder Gupta and Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma upon her arrival at the ARTRAC headquarters.

During the visit, Lieutenant General Sharma briefed the President on the evolution and role of ARTRAC in imparting high-quality training to Army personnel to enhance operational efficiency.
