Present evidence before committee, not media: Delhi Speaker writes to Atishi

Pankaj JainNew Delhi, March 5 -- Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta has written to Leader of Opposition and AAP leader Atishi cautioning her over remarks made in the media regarding the alleged "Faansi Ghar" issue related to the Delhi Legislative Assembly.

In a formal letter issued by the Delhi Legislative Assembly Secretariat on Thursday, the Speaker said statements made by Atishi during a recent press briefing questioning the summons issued to certain leaders by the Assembly's Committee of Privileges were "unwarranted" and could undermine the independent functioning of the committee.
