Lucknow, March 9 -- The Prerna Canteen initiative, launched by the Uttar Pradesh government to promote economic empowerment among rural women, is showing encouraging results, with more than 10,000 women reportedly becoming "lakhpatis" through the scheme.
Inspired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the initiative has expanded across the state, providing women associated with self-help groups a sustainable source of income and opportunities for financial independence.
According to officials, more than 2,100 Prerna Canteens are currently operational across the state, serving as a strong pillar for the progress of rural women. These canteens are being run by women associated with self-help groups, providing them with a steady source of income...
