Mumbai , Sept. 27 -- A pregnant woman was allegedly murdered and her body transported nearly 275 km before being burnt with petrol in a forest area in Maharashtra's Dhule district, police said on Sunday.
Four people, including a woman, have been arrested in connection with the case, while efforts are underway to trace two other suspects who are absconding, police said.
According to police, the woman was allegedly killed following an internal dispute. After the murder, the accused allegedly transported her body to the Gartadbari Ghat forest area, where they poured petrol on it and set it on fire, allegedly to destroy evidence and mislead investigators.
