Varanasi, Sept. 11 -- Wishing to further strengthen the traditional, strong, and trusted friendship between India and Russia, Namami Gange members performed aarti of Mother Ganga at the Samne Ghat on Friday and prayed to Shri Kashi Vishwanath.
On this occasion, Namami Gange team members performed Ganga puja with the national flags of India and Russia and photographs of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The prayers sought the strengthening of bilateral trade and investment ties between the two countries and a new direction for their growing cooperation across various sectors.
