Patna, Aug. 3 -- Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor on Monday urged the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership to appoint a "capable, honest and development-oriented" person as Chief Minister of Bihar, claiming that the verdict in the Bankipur Assembly bypoll reflected the people''s desire for a change in the state''s leadership.
Speaking to reporters outside the counting centre after Kishor, who is heading towards his decisive victory, said the people had given the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) a mandate of 202 legislators and it was now the BJP''s responsibility to ensure that Bihar was led by a person of integrity who could deliver education, employment, good governance and curb migration.
