Patna, Feb. 28 -- Founder of Jan Suraaj Prashant Kishor on Saturday questioned the success of the liquor ban law in Bihar and asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to enforce prohibition across the country if it was so beneficial for women.

Kishor, popularly known as PK, reached Sheohar as part of his party's Bihar Navnirman Abhiyan. He said the liquor ban had completely failed in the state and its very objective stood defeated.

He alleged poor implementation of the law due to a nexus between liquor mafias and officials, both civil and police, had deprived people, particularly women, of the intended benefits.
