Bengaluru, Aug. 13 -- A mobile phone controversy has shaken the Parappana Agrahara Central Prison after former MP Prajwal Revanna was reportedly caught using a mobile phone inside his cell despite sophisticated jammers being installed across the prison, triggering the suspension of a senior jail official and an FIR against telecom operator Airtel.
The Central Crime Branch (CCB), acting on complaints of irregularities and unauthorised activities inside the prison, carried out a surprise raid and reportedly found a mobile phone in the section where Prajwal was lodged.
