New Delhi, Aug. 25 -- R Praggnanandhaa booked his place in the Grand Chess Tour Final for the first time after a dominant semifinal victory over Vincent Keymer in St. Louis.
Praggnanandhaa had already put himself in a strong position after winning one classical game and drawing the other on Sunday. He then carried that momentum into the rapid section, winning both games to secure the tie before the blitz games even began.
The Indian also won the opening blitz game to extend his lead further. With the semifinal already decided, he then lost the next three blitz games, finishing the tie with a 19-9 victory.
