Agartala, June 16 -- : The BJP's ally in the Tripura government, TIPRA Motha founder and royal scion, Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarman, today voiced strong criticism regarding the decade-long delay in holding village council elections in Tripura's Autonomous District Council (ADC).
He argued that discussing democracy and initiatives like "One Nation, One Election" becomes contradictory when indigenous village councils are denied their democratic rights for such an extended period.
