Agartala, April 2 -- Following a significant electoral challenge after breaking the alliance with the BJP ahead of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (ADC) election, royal scion and TIPRA Motha founder Pradyot Kishore Debbarman has revived his demand for Greater Tipraland during the campaign.
Pradyot's NGO, TIPRA Motha -- advocating for Greater Tipraland, which includes parts of Tripura, Assam, Mizoram, and southern Bangladesh -- transformed into a political party just before the last ADC election in 2021. Subsequently, he allied with the BJP prior to the 2023 assembly elections, calling for a constitutional solution for tribal issues.
