Bengaluru, July 25 -- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday said the resignation of union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan would not, by itself, resolve the deep-rooted crisis in the country's education sector, asserting that only a comprehensive overhaul of the system and a change in the Centre's policies could restore public confidence.
Reacting to Pradhan's resignation following weeks of nationwide protests over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and examination irregularities, Siddaramaiah described the development as a "historic victory" for students and youth, but maintained that it was only the first step in a larger battle for educational reforms.
