Bhubaneswar, June 10 -- union Education Minister and Sambalpur MP Dharmendra Pradhan has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi for the State Cabinet's approval of a new In-Stream Storage (ISS) Bridge-cum-Barrage project on the Mahanadi riverbed near the Ayodhyasagar Weir in Sambalpur.
In a post on X, Pradhan said the mega project, estimated to cost more than Rs 440 crore, would give a major boost to the overall development of Sambalpur and its surrounding areas.
Describing the project as a landmark initiative, he said it would significantly improve connectivity and transportation infrastructure in the region while ensuring a reliable supply of drinking water to local communities. ...
