Chandigarh, April 24 -- The Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) has officially concluded its field investigation into the mass fish mortality reported near the Harike Head Works in the Ferozepur district, ruling out industrial contamination as the cause of the incident.
Following a viral video that surfaced on April 3, which depicted dead fish in the River Sutlej, a specialized PPCB team, accompanied by scientific staff and representatives from the Department of Fisheries, conducted an on-site inspection at Gatta Badshah and Dineke villages.
