New Delhi, March 2 -- Vijender Gupta, speaker of the Delhi Legislative Assembly, on Monday said that power is not a privilege but a sacred public trust that must be exercised for the welfare of the last citizen, while addressing students of the Indian Institute of Democratic Leadership (IIDL) during their visit to the Assembly.
Welcoming students to the Vidhan Sabha, Gupta said the strength of democracy lies not only in laws but in the ethical foundation of those who serve the nation.
