Kolkata, May 28 -- Preliminary postmortem findings in the death of Bengali filmmaker Anik Dutta revealed that he had suffered severe head injuries, multiple fractures and heavy internal bleeding, a senior Kolkata Police officer said on Thursday.
Dutta's autopsy was conducted at the SSKM Hospital.
According to the initial findings of the report, Dutta had a fractured skull, deep wounds on the head and neck, several broken ribs and injuries to his left leg.
Bruises and abrasions were also found on different parts of his body, while blood clots were reportedly detected in the lungs.
