Postal Dept to process Rule-38 MTS transfers twice a year

Panchkula, Aug. 8 -- The Department of Posts has clarified that Rule-38 transfer requests of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) officials between Postal Units/Administrative Offices and Department of Accounts (Postal), or DAP (PAO), establishments will continue to be processed manually until the relevant online module becomes operational on APT 2.0.

The transfer requests will be processed twice a year, during March and September, in line with the regular Rule-38 transfer cycles prescribed by the Directorate.

In a clarification issued on August 6, the Department said the interim arrangement outlined in its June 10, 2025 instructions would continue until DAP cadres are onboarded on APT 2.0 and the online module becomes functional.
