Puducherry, March 28 -- The Rebel Congress candidates in the fray in six seats allotted for the allies, the DMK(5) and VCK(1) for the April 9 assembly elections and had refused to withdrew their papers, are canvassing in their constituencies with the party flags and portraits of party leaders.
It may be noted that of the 14 seats allotted to the DMK, rebel Congress candidates are contesting in 5 seats -- Rajbhavan, Kalapet, Thirubhuvanai, Karaikal (South) and Mangalam, besides in Uzhavarkarai allotted to the VCK by the DMK from its kitty.
The rebel candidates, who were warned of suspension, were also using the Congress flags and portrait of party leaders while visiting every household seeking votes.
