Puducherry, March 23 -- Fumed over denial of seat to senior Congress leader and former Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy to contest the April 9 Assembly polls, a large number of his supporters resorted to a dharna in front of the residence of PCC President V Vaithilingam, MP, on Monday, and demanded his resignation.
Mr.Narayanasamy was keen to contest from the Nellithope constituency and even opened an election office there. But he did not get Forms A and B from the party to file his nominations which comes to a close at 3.00 PM today.
As he was not given the forms by Mr.Vaithilingam, supporters of Narayanasamy gathered in front of the PCC Chief's residence and sat on a dharna it and shouted slogans denouncing thim.
