Mumbai, April 12 -- A wave of grief swept across the country on Sunday, April 12, as political leaders, ministers, and artistes paid heartfelt tributes to legendary singer Asha Bhosle, reflecting the profound impact she had on India's cultural and public life.
According to official information, the veteran singer passed away after being admitted to hospital on Saturday night following a heart attack. Despite intensive medical efforts, she succumbed on Sunday morning due to multi-organ failure. Her last rites will be performed on Monday at 4:00 PM at the Shivaji Park Crematorium. Prior to that, her mortal remains will be kept at her residence from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM for the public to pay their final respects.
