Lucknow, Aug. 24 -- Uttar Pradesh politics has heated up over an alleged fish feast during a Nishad Samaj event in Ayodhya on Sunday, in which it was reported that State Congress chief was slated to attend.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Congress state unit-head Ajay Rai have clashed over the issue.
Countering the CM's allegations, Ajay Rai demanded that if there is a photo of him eating fish, it should be released. He stated that he is ready to resign immediately if the allegations are proven.
On Sunday, a program was organized by the Nishad Samaj in Ayodhya. Congress state president Ajay Rai, party in-charge Rajendra Pal Gautam, and several other Congress leaders and workers attended.
