Srinagar, June 22 -- With the annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra set to commence on July 2, Police in Anantnag district has set up strategically located high-rise observation posts along the pilgrimage route and at other vulnerable locations to ensure a safe and secure Yatra.
Police said the high-rise observation posts, commonly known as Machan Morchas, reflects the proactive approach of Anantnag Police in maintaining a vigilant watch over the pilgrimage route and strengthening the overall security grid.
These elevated deployment points provide security personnel with an enhanced field of vision, enabling continuous surveillance and close monitoring of the surrounding areas.
