Sangli, May 9 -- Local Crime Branch (LCB) today foiled a plot to kill Maharashtra State Journalists Association founder Sanjay Bhokare, who is also editor of local daily 'Janpravas', and arrested three people.
According to the police, the three suspects had done recce from February outside daily 'Janpravas' as part of preparations to murder Bhokare.
On receiving a tip, LCB police team stopped a suspicious car and arrested three persons, who were plotting to kill Bhokare.
Police also seized two foreign-made pistols, which were purchased from Uttar Pradesh, a knife and the car.
