Chandigarh, April 9 -- In a coordinated effort to curb street crime and organised theft, the Punjab Police on Thursday reported significant breakthroughs in two separate operations in Amritsar and Moga.
A joint team of the Government Railway Police (GRP) and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) successfully dismantled a dangerous gang of robbers near the Amritsar railway station. Acting on a specific tip-off, the security forces conducted a raid under the Bhandari Bridge, where the suspects were reportedly congregating to plan a major strike. During the operation, police cordoned off the area and apprehended four men identified as Harpreet Singh, Mandeep Kumar, Dilbagh Singh, and Akash.
