Kakinada, July 12 -- Police in Kakinada district on Sunday summoned rowdy sheeters to their respective police stations and counselled them to maintain good behaviour and refrain from criminal activities as part of measures to maintain law and order.
The exercise was carried out on the directions of Superintendent of Police Bindu Madhav to prevent crime and enhance the sense of security among the public, police said.
Station House Officers across the district summoned rowdy sheeters within their jurisdictions and advised them to abide by the law, avoid involvement in land disputes, personal rivalries, intimidation, gambling, ganja and narcotics smuggling, and other anti-social activities.
