Nagpur, July 24 -- : A jail constable was arrested after narcotic substances and other prohibited items were allegedly recovered from his possession during a routine security check at Nagpur Central Jail, officials said on Friday.
The accused, identified as Vikas Sahare, had joined the prison department last year and was recently posted at Nagpur Central Jail after completing his training.
He was intercepted at the main entrance while reporting for duty on Thursday, where mandatory frisking of all staff members is conducted.
During the search, security personnel allegedly recovered a packet concealed inside his undergarments.
