Srinagar, April 10 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday said it arrested 14 drug peddlers and seized a huge quantity of narcotic substances in multiple operations across the Valley, in a major crackdown against drug trafficking.
A medical shop was also sealed in Kulgam for violating mandatory norms governing the sale of Schedule H medicines.
Police said in Anantnag district, acting on specific inputs, police conducted a raid at a residence in Naina Gund Baba Khalil, Sangam, after obtaining a search warrant from a court. During the search, 3.99kg of charas powder-like substance was recovered.
The accused, Fayaz Ahmad Dar and his son Arbaz Ahmad Dar, were arrested on the spot.
