Panchkula, Sept. 26 -- In a sweeping push to remake Panchkula as a greener, more walkable and aesthetically superior city, the Chief Executive Officer of the Panchkula Metropolitan Development Authority (PMDA), K.M. Panduranga, conducted an extensive field inspection of multiple sectors on Saturday, ordering a comprehensive overhaul of green belts, pedestrian infrastructure and major junctions while declaring that there would be no compromise on the quality of big-ticket projects.
The CEO's tour covered Sectors 1, 3, 21, 4, 2, 6 and 7, where he examined the condition of green belts and assessed what needs to be done to convert them from passive patches of foliage into active, citizen-friendly public spaces.
