Bengaluru, April 18 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will "not sit quietly" amid the political storm over the Women's Reservation Bill, as the BJP sharpened its attack on the opposition following the Bill's failure to pass in the Lok Sabha.
Framing the setback as a coordinated obstruction by rival parties, BJP leaders said the government remains firmly committed to pushing the legislation forward.
"This defeat is not a defeat of the Modi government," Karnataka BJP leader Chalavadi Narayanaswamy said, asserting that the opposition had collectively blocked the measure. "PM Modi will not sit quietly now. We will bring this bill even after this," he added.
