Thrissur, March 25 -- Campaigning by various political parties for the April 9 Assembly election is expected to gather momentum with Prime Minister Narendra Modi expected to launch BJP's election rallies in Palakkad and Thrissur on March 29.
With the scrutiny of nominations complete, battle lines have been drawn sharply as three major parties, the Congress, CPM and BJP shift gears and launch an all-out push to dominate the campaign trail across 140 constituencies.
Prime Minister Modi is likely to arrive in Palakkad on March 29 afternoon providing a major push to the NDA's campaign of BJP's Sobha Surendran. After addressing a public rally there, he will visit Thrissur to take part in a road show.
