Chennai, July 16 -- In a major boost to urban mobility and passenger comfort, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the comprehensively redeveloped Chennai Park Railway Station tomorrow.
Mr Modi will inaugurate the station, which was redeveloped with a host of additional facilities at a cost of Rs.14.79 crores, via video conferencing.
Driven by a nationwide momentum that has already seen 261 stations transformed under the Amrit Station Scheme, this landmark event marks the upcoming inauguration of 75 more redeveloped Amrit Stations across the country, Southern Railway officials said.
