New Delhi, Sept. 13 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday intensified India's diplomatic engagement on the sidelines of the 18th BRICS Summit here, holding separate bilateral meetings with the leaders of Egypt, Kazakhstan, the Philippines and Indonesia as the summit provided a platform for New Delhi to deepen partnerships spanning West Asia, Central Asia, Southeast Asia and the wider Global South.

At Bharat Mandapam, Modi met Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Philippine President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, adding a strong bilateral dimension to the multilateral deliberations at the summit.
