New Delhi, July 15 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday welcomed the coming into force of the India-United Kingdom Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and the Agreement on Social Security, describing the twin pacts as a major milestone that would deepen economic cooperation and create new opportunities for businesses, professionals and workers in both countries.

In a post on social media platform X, the Prime Minister said the agreements marked "a significant moment in the India-United Kingdom partnership" and reflected the shared commitment of the two democracies to strengthen ties through trade, technology, investment and innovation.
