New Delhi, Aug. 10 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi has hailed India's Commonwealth Games 2026 medal winners, crediting their sustained success to the growing sports culture inthe country and saying their achievements were inspiring a new generation of athletes.
Interacting with the Indian contingent at his residence in the national capital on Sunday, Modi said the success of sportspersons had a greater impact on young people than conventional efforts to promote sports.
"Your medal inspires them more than anything we could say by going to schools," remarked Modi.
