Mumbai, Aug. 8 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not shut his doors on MPs like Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray does, BJP Maharashtra chief spokesperson Navnath Ban said on Saturday, in an attack on Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut.
"Your boss Uddhav Thackeray neither meets MPs nor MLAs. The doors of 'Matoshree' are closed not only to party workers but also to your own MPs. This is why your MPs are leaving you, resulting in the decline of your party," Ban said.
Speaking at a press conference at the BJP state office, Ban said PM Modi, who leads a country of 1.4 billion people, regularly meets MPs from all political parties and discusses issues with them.
