New Delhi, July 6 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Jakarta on Monday on the first leg of his three-nation Indo-Pacific tour, with a focus on deepening India's strategic and economic engagement with Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand.
Modi was accorded a warm welcome on his arrival in the Indonesian capital, where he was personally received at the airport by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto - a rare diplomatic gesture that the Prime Minister described as a reflection of the close and friendly ties between the two countries.
