Chennai, June 21 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi and leaders of various political parties in Tamil Nadu condoled the deaths of workers in the Ammonia gas leak tragedy at a shrimp processing unit in a seafood exports unit, that left over 60 affected due to inhaling of excess gas, on Sunday.

In a post on X, Mr Modi wrote "Deeply pained to hear about the loss of lives due to a mishap in Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu. My condolences to those who have lost their loved ones.""Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured", he said.
