Mumbai, Aug. 8 -- Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday launched a sharp attack on the BJP-led government, accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of ignoring the concerns of the country's protesting youth while finding time for closed-door meetings with political defectors.
Questioning the reported assurances given by the Prime Minister to MPs from the rival Shiv Sena faction, Thackeray asked whether such statements could be construed as an indirect message or warning to the Supreme Court, where crucial disqualification matters relating to political defections are pending.
