Kolkata, June 25 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the next of kin of those killed in the Taratala warehouse collapse in Kolkata, while those injured will receive Rs 50,000.
The West Bengal government has also announced compensation of Rs 10 lakh for the families of those killed in the incident and Rs 1 lakh for the injured.
"The government will take all the responsibilities of the treatment of the injured. We know that money is not enough because life is always precious. Still, as a responsible government we want to stand by the families who have lost their valuable members," Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari said in the Assembly on Thursday....
