Motihari, April 5 -- The local police Sunday recovered a pistol and ammunition from a madrasa and detained three people in connection with the case in East Champaran district.
Police Superintendent Swarn Prabhat confirmed the recovery and said the recovery was made during a raid at a madrasa located in the Chakia police station area. The detainees include the madrasa's cleric, caretaker, and a sanitation worker, who are currently being questioned. He said that the action was carried out following specific inputs about possible illegal firearms activities linked to the madrasa. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted under the supervision of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Chakia to probe the matter.
