Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 5 -- Opposition Leader Pinarayi Vijayan has written to AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, registering a strong protest against the alleged brutal police action against SFI students who staged a protest at Kerala University and against what he termed the UDF government's policies favouring the Sangh Parivar agenda.
In the letter, Vijayan said police carried out a brutal lathicharge on students who were peacefully protesting outside Kerala University over the issue of singing the full version of Vande Mataram. He alleged that the police action was carried out without any provocation from the students.
